Breast Pain

Mastodynia ( breast pain )

What is it?

There is pain in the breast.

The signs of the disease

Symptoms may be throbbing, burning, cramping, painful balls, a feeling of breast tenderness, painful sensation of the nipple.

Sometimes the woman does not tolerate the slightest touch, the weight of the sheet or the bra. The superficial veins may be particularly visible.

Breast pain is usually punctuated by the cycle, increase in the second part of the cycle (luteal phase) and decrease or disappear in the days after the onset of the rules.

Differential Diagnosis

A number of pain actually have their origin outside of the breast: intercostal neuralgia, back pain, sternal, slipping rib syndrome (post-traumatic subluxation of the 8th, 9th and 10th ribs, with precise point of pain), etc..
